Casa Anna Apartments

Casa Anna is a large traditional Spanish home, which your hosts, Mick and Linda Robson, have tastefully transformed into holiday apartments. The accommodation can be booked as a 2 bed-roomed, 2 bath-roomed apartment sleeping a maximum of 7 or a 3 bed-roomed 3 bath-roomed apartment sleeping up to 9. Casa Anna also boasts a swimming pool, television lounge with satellite TV, fruit orchard, terraces with sun-beds, a barbeque area and a large courtyard, and plenty of secure parking.

Located in the small Andalucian village of Bermejo, very close to the famous landmark of El Chorro and the striking whitewashed town of Alora, this is an ideal spot for climbers, walkers, birdwatchers and photographers as well as holiday makers looking for peace and stunning scenery. We are only 40 mins from Malaga airport and the lakes and national park are only 15 mins away. The coast with all its attractions is 45 mins by car or 30 mins by train.

For golf enthusiasts, there are three superb golf courses within a 40 minutes drive. Bermejo itself, boasts two bars, a supermarket, a chemist and a tobacconist so although it takes less than 30 seconds to drive through, the village offers all the conveniences of a much larger town, making it the ideal base for holidaymakers and house-hunters alike.

This year is going to be a very special year for Casa Anna for two reasons.

The first is the re-opening of ‘El Caminito del Rey’, one of the world’s most adventurous and dangerous hikes, while the second is the exciting news that ‘La Vuelta a España’ one of the world’s biggest international cycle races, will go right past our front door.

Here’s a bit of information about both:

El Caminito del Rey
(The King’s Pathway)

‘El Caminito del Rey’ opens to the public at Easter this year after €5m of restoration work.

Caminito del Rey, El Chorro

The stunning ‘air path’, one of the most impressive and dangerous mountain trails in the world, was originally built in 1905 to help workers carry materials to the nearby hydro-electric power station, but was closed in 2000 because it became too dangerous to walk along; 5 people died after falling from it during 1999 and 2000.

The newly renovated walkway will be free to the public for the first year so make sure you come and stay with us in 2015 to experience one of the world’s most breathtaking hikes. Contact us now.

La Vuelta a España

La Vuelta a España 2015

2015 marks the 70th tour of ‘La Vuelta a España’, one of cycling’s biggest multi-stage road races along with Le Tour de France and Giro d’Italia, and this year we are delighted to welcome the tour as it runs through our little village of Bermejo as the world’s top riders race their way from Alhaurin de la Torre to El Caminito del Rey in El Chorro on Sunday August 23rd.
